The 2000 rpm vibration is a distinct vibration. When acceleration, it’s more of a hesitation side to side shaking that is only there under load. If I cruise at 2000 there is no vibration. •if I put the car in 1st gear and accelerate. It vibrates. If I keep going faster (4000-5000 rpm, there’s no shaking.

This seems to happening maybe 50% of the time I try to start the car. Usually taking the key out and trying again is enough to fix it, but that might take several goes. Its a 2008 Mk2.5 model. Shaking/vibration when accelerating. For a while now my ST shakes/vibrates when the turbo kicks in. I haven't noticed any loss of power just the shaking. The garage reckon the turbo needs replacing, quoted ÂŁ1100! I find it hard to believe that a fault with the turbo would cause the car to shake without losing power.

Thanks for the response and the welcome. I'll mention this when I take the car, really hope its not anything major.
